More than 24 million Americans are confirmed positive for Coronavirus, with many million more presumptive cases, and more than 400,000 deaths in the United States. In Houston and Harris County, confirmed cases and deaths are rising and new more infectious “mutant” variants of COVID-19 have been identified. Vaccines are beginning to be available, but some people—particularly in minority communities—are hesitant to get vaccinated.
To help provide the information Houstonians and Harris County residents need and can trust, Community Health Choice is convening a panel of local experts for a special virtual event on February 15. Our panel will look at the status of the vaccines to date, explore why minority communities may have concerns, and answer questions about vaccine safety, availability, and effectiveness.
